With Their Veterinary Bills (Brea, Calif.) -
Comprehensive pet medical coverage from Veterinary Pet Insurance (VPI),
the nation's oldest and largest pet health insurance provider, is
available to Wyoming’s pet-owning public. In addition to offering the
company’s base medical plans, Wyoming debuted VPI’s Pet WellCare
ProtectionSM plans for preventive care in late August 2007.
Since 1982, more than a million VPI Pet Insurance policies have been sold
across the country. “As the sophistication in veterinary medicine continues to increase, unfortunately, so do the associated expenses for pet owners,” said Carol McConnell, DVM, MBA vice president and chief veterinary medical offer for VPI. “Pet insurance can help defray the cost – whether those expenses are for common veterinary tests and treatments, or more advanced procedures such as CT scans and MRI’s. Comprehensive medical coverage equals true peace of mind to pet owners who want to make optimal health care decisions for their pet.” According to the American Pet Product Manufacturers
Association (APPMA), pet owners in the United States spent $10.1 billion
on veterinary care in 2007. |
