WVMA CE OFFERED: Up to 16 hours + additional CE through APHIS modules (3 hrs.) and Trich certification (3 hrs.)
Note about new controlled substance CE requirement: The WVMA Summer Meeting does not include controlled substance CE to fulfill the new licensing requirements. Because the CE requirement does not go into effect until July 1, 2019, the Board of Veterinary Medicine must provide two full years to allow the licensee to obtain it. Therefore, it will be required for those due to submit CE in 2021 and 2022. Please contact JoAnn Reid/WBVM with any questions at 307-777-5403.

David G. Pugh, DVM, MS, MAG – Waverly, AL
Dr. Pugh will present on External Parasites and Nutrition in Ruminants. He is a Diplomate of the American College of Theriogenology, the American College of Veterinary Nutrition, and the American College of Veterinary Microbiology. Dr. Pugh has held faculty positions at the University of Georgia and Auburn University. He has received five university and five national awards for teaching and was the 2006 recipient of the UGA’s AM Mills Award for contributions to Veterinary Medicine.
John Mattoon, DVM, DACVR – Pullman, WA
Dr. John Mattoon attended Oregon State and Washington State Universities, earning his DVM degree in 1984. Following 2 years in private practice, he entered a radiology residency at UC Davis, becoming an ACVR Diplomate in 1989. He has practiced private specialty radiology and been on faculty at UC Davis, Oregon State University, the Atlantic Veterinary College, The Ohio State University, and Washington State University, where he is currently a Professor. He has over 90 scientific publications and is co-editor of Small Animal Diagnostic Ultrasound.
Jennifer Schissler, DVM, MS, DACVD – Fort Collins, CO
Dr. Schissler is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Otology at Colorado State University. She graduated from CSU’s professional veterinary medical program in 2005, completed a combined master’s degree and dermatology residency at The Ohio State University, and became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2009. She will present on Canine staphylococcal pyoderma, The successful diet trial, Treatment of canine atopic dermatitis, and Otitis fun and fascination: case studies.
